Robert J. Ehrenberg

Born and raised in St. Joseph, Bob Ehrenberg attended St. Joseph public schools before earning both his undergraduate and law degrees from Valparaiso University, Indiana, where he served as Student Senate Treasurer and Business Editor of the Valparaiso University Law Review.

Bob’s practice focuses on all aspects of personal injury law, including motor vehicle collisions, boat accidents, professional malpractice, product liability, insurance claims, premises liability, worker’s compensation, Social Security Disability and other injury cases.

Bob was admitted to the Michigan bar in1978, and is admitted to practice in various courts, including the U.S. District Court, Eastern District of Michigan; U.S. District Court, Western District of Michigan; U.S. District Court, Northern District of Indiana; U.S. Court of Appeals, Sixth Circuit; and the Supreme Court of Michigan.

For 23 years, Bob practiced personal injury law with Elden W. Butzbaugh, Jr. at the Butzbaugh & Ehrenberg law firm in St. Joseph. Upon Elden’s retirement, Bob merged his law practice with Conybeare Law Office in 2001, and has continued to represent injured people in personal injury law.

Bob’s professional affiliations include current memberships in the Berrien County Bar Association; the State Bar of Michigan; the Michigan Association for Justice; and the American Association for Justice. He is a member of the Million Dollar Advocates Forum.  He has served as Secretary of the Berrien County Bar Association and Vice President of the Berrien County Trial Lawyers Association.

An active member of the St. Joseph community, Bob served as Moderator and is a current Council member at First Congregational Church of St. Joseph.   He served as Vice President of the St. Joseph Public Schools Educational Foundation and currently serves on its Distinguished Alumni Award committee.   In addition, Bob has been a member of the St. Joseph City Planning Commission; President of the Old Edgewater Neighborhood Association; board member of the Lakeland Health Foundation; President, Lakeland Choral Society; board member of the St. Joseph River Yacht Club; and board member for St. Joseph Aquatics. He is active in the charitable activities of the Salvation Army and the Boys and Girls Club of Benton Harbor, and is a volunteer for the annual Blossomtime Festival.

Bob’s wife, Cindy, is the Director of Development for the Boys and Girls Club of Benton Harbor, Michigan. They have two children: Emily, attending Indiana University at Bloomington; and Elizabeth, a graduate of the University of Wisconsin at Madison.
